Last night we were delighted to host our first ‘PEER 1 Pub Quiz’ for over 40 journalists from across an array of technology titles including The Register, ZDNet and Information Age.  
 
The evening, held at the Glassblower Pub in London, was a resounding success with everyone getting in to the swing of things and enjoying the many unique quiz rounds  - who else can say they’ve managed to get a senior male journalist to put on a Lady Gaga face!?

Web hosting looks very different today than it did 20 years ago. In 1991, when "www" was first released to the public, you needed to purchase and manage your own computer or server to host a website. Today, you can find basic web hosting services from thousands of hosting providers for less than the cost of a week's worth of coffee. Remember when names like GeoCites, Angelfire and Tripod actually mean't something?

I joined PEER 1 in April 2011 after studying towards a CIPFA qualification in London. Previous to that I studied Accounting & Finance at University in Bristol for 4 years including one year in industry.  Studying Accounting & Finance enabled me to analyse and interpret financial information and develop my understanding of how a business operates.
